Professional Summary

I am an Information Technology professional with a work experience of over six years and a Masters degree in Physics from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, an India's premier science and technology university.

I have over six years of experience in software product design and development in the domain of mobile services and in the online media industry. All of this is in taking applications from initial conceptualization to their launch and operations.

I worked at the technology division ofIndia's leading online media company rediff.com (Nasdaq: REDF) as a software specialist for more than five years. At rediff, I  designed  and developed mobile technologies and did several product innovations and automations  which enhanced revenues of the company's mobile business. Received many email and verbal compliments from the company’s CEO and several VP’s etc for exemplary performance and innovative products and ideas.

Specialties

I am an expert in automation, systems and tools design and development. I would love to innovate in front end designs using web 2.0 technologies in near future.

I primarily use the following technologies for designing and developing most of my products:

  • Programming/scripting languages: Perl, PHP, C, Shell Scripting
  • Web technologies: HTML, WML, XML, JavaScript
  • Web server: Apache
  • Databases: Oracle, SQL
  • Operating Systems: Linux/Unix; Windows
  • Other tools etc: CGI, CPAN, CVS, Web Services like SOAP, WSDL

 About My Family

Recently I got married to Dr. Swapna Reddy, who has her clinic in Hyderabad. My father is retired and mother works as a school principle. My elder sister is a homemaker and brother-in-law is an oceanographer by education and business man by profession and I have a cute little nephew, whom I call Ninny.
